How was your weekend? Good I hope! My weekend looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. A dear friend of mine is marrying her farmer-boy on Saturday and Sunday I’m sure will be spent with family.
This week is looking very busy for me. We are planning to have a garage sale Thursday and Friday, possibly Saturday as well. If you are thinking of having a garage sale this summer, check out my post from a few years ago on having a successful one.
The two posts I’m featuring today are great (really what’s new here?! lol). But what’s so cool to me is that both blogs are new to me! Possibly they’ve linked up in the past and I just haven’t noticed, it’s easy to miss things sometimes, but I don’t think I’ve every visited either one before and they are both just awesome!
From Chillogical (isn’t that a fun name?) comes a post titled her “hoarders Secret” in her post she shares how she loves to watch Hoarders and the people seem crazy to her because she is not a hoarder. But The Biggest Loser isn’t a show she watches… I love how she ties it all together with a reminder that we are all flawed, just in different ways.
This Little Home of Mine has a post that could hit home for many parents. Have you ever seen a family with a special needs child and maybe felt pity for them? Or maybe heard of a family aborting a baby after learning it would have developmental or mental disabilities.
Or maybe, it was you after genetic testing was done on the child in your womb and you learn he/she has special needs. Or maybe you found out after your baby was born.
Elizabeth’s story is poignant and sweet. And under it all runs the realization that life, ALL life is precious and pity is misplaced. 🙂
Hi Kendra,
Thanks for the feature! In the past I linked with you from my former blog but you’re right, this one is kind of new. I appreciate your link parties and your blog!
Thank you so much for sharing our story, Kendra! I am loving meeting new friends through your link party!
Elizabeth
