Hey guys, I’m coming at you from a sleep deprived brain so please forgive any errors you see. 🙂
Wednesday I thought teething had hit Kolton hard. His eye teeth were coming in so I figured that was the reason his amber necklace didn’t seem to be working as well as normal.
He drooled like crazy, ran a temp and refused to eat for nearly 2 days. Teeth right?
Until Malachi spiked a temp Friday night. Was he teething too? I looked at his gums and discovered a cold sore on his tongue. Further investigation revealed massive blisters in his throat. I grabbed Kolton and looked at his hands, sure enough, there were blisters on both his hands and feet.
Yup, full blown Hand, Foot and Mouth disease here. Isn’t parenting great?! lol 🙂 Friday night was bad, but last night was worse. 3 hours of sleep max. On the bright side, at least these two won’t get it again! And they both seem to be feeling a little better so I’ll take it. 🙂
On to the features for this week’s linkup!
After reading this post I wish I had an old door. Such fun ideas! 5 Beautiful Outdoor Uses for Old Doors, get your inspiration here.
After the last two days I seriously feel like the worst mom ever. I knew my babies didn’t feel well, but I’m not a very nice person when I don’t get enough sleep. This post from Women Abiding was a very timely read for me. Why Every Mom Feels like the Worst Mom Ever. Read it Here.
Here’s to a new linkup, a new week and hopefully more sleep!
Thanks so much for the feature of my old doors post. 🙂 And thank you for the opportunity to link up!
We’ve been dealing with hand, foot n mouth disease also here in Kansas. But I was under the impression the child can get it again! It’d be great if they couldn’t tho’! Blessings to you in this time!
You are correct, I looked it up and there are several variations of the disease 🙁 So yup, you can get it more than once.
I remember when my kids got that! It was not fun! I hope your kids feel better soon, and you can get some sleep.
