Fat Sick and Nearly Dead 2 year celebration!

A juicing revolution. If you remember at the start of my juicing, I referenced the Reboot with Joe website. Another blogger had mentioned that site as a great source of info and I really liked it.  That site was where I went for encouragement to continue, where I went to ask questions, (there was a nutritionist forum that I asked several questions at) and where I went to celebrate.

There was one aspect that I missed though. I think I knew about it, but I never looked into it. That was the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I’m going to talk a little bit more about that in a bit.

A week or so ago, I got an email from a staff at the Reboot with Joe site. That community was created after the Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary was created. (I didn’t know that) But I was contacted because they wanted me to tell you something.

Two years ago, the documentary Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, was released. In honor of that, our friends at Reboot with Joe, are throwing a party, and YOU are invited!

So what’s going on at the party? A movie, yummy juices, prizes… Yup, all that and you are invited! Make sure you swing by the Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead 2nd anniversary celebration and check out all the fun!

Why are they doing this? Well, the lovely people at Reboot with Joe, and myself included, we want to inspire you to eat right and get healthy. I don’t usually watch movies like this, but I did. And I loved it. There is a gal in there that did a 10 day fast. Not so much to lose weight, but for other health reasons. Her journey made me think of myself, and her reactions to food cracked me up, because that’s how I was.

Below, I imbedded a trailer of the documentary.

Now, you can watch Fat Sick and Nearly Dead for free on You tube.  But we are also giving away a copy of the DVD and a wonderful “I Juice with Joe” to-go cup. When I was juicing, I literally carried a cup with me every-where I went.

No big requirements for this giveaway. In fact here’s what you need to do to get your name in. Visit the party page, and leave a comment telling me what you learned. Also, watch the Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary on YouTube. You have two different ways to enter, and you can do them both. Just leave a comment below. Using random.org, I will chose a winner on the 11th.  :)  (Random.org chose Sarah!)

Stay (or get) healthy my friends!

And for those of you who weren’t around when I was sharing my juicing journey; here is the first post: The reset button for healthy living. All the other posts can be found at the bottom of that one.

Respectful opinions are always welcome

  1. I tried juicing before but it drove me nuts. LOL! Maybe I should try again. I have frozen fruit that needs used since it’s just taking up space in the freezer.

  2. I loved that documentary!

  3. Melanie says:

As I mentioned earlier I juiced several months ago on & off for 2 months inspired by F,S & N D documentary. I lost 25#! me=happy! The amazing thing to me was that I stayed healthy through the “sickest” part of winter when my kids were all sick. I don’t totally stick with the healthy eating plan all of the time but I do it frequently still.

    • 25 pounds is totally awesome! I don’t totally stick with a healthy eating plan either. But just working at eating plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, plus watching my portion sizes, make a huge difference!

  4. I learned that A Reboot diet is the perfect way to power up your system using plant-based energy to help you lose weight, get clear skin, increase your energy levels and think more clearly. When you consume only juice, your system is flooded with an abundance of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that help your body stay strong and fight disease.

  5. I have never heard of that documentary, nor the reboot diet. I’ve only heard of a few diet plans because friends are on them. I’m on a diet myself but not doing any particular diet. Just watching the calories!

Also wanted to remind you that the “Making Your Home Sing Monday” linky party is up and ready for you to link up your posts this week.

  6. Thank you for directing me to Joe’s website for a lot of good info. We have been thinking about starting to juice for better health. I plan to watch the video with my husband. I’m thinking it might be something he can relate to, and be inspired. Thank you for sharing your journey!

  7. I visited the party page and realized I really need to do a reboot! Thanks for the motivation.
