A Craft For Fathers Day

I have the best time with the little girl I babysit. She just turned two and is a real handful (in a good way), and a joy to take care of.

Today I took in some craft supplies, to help her make a Fathers Day gift. I wasn’t sure how it would go, because she is only two and wouldn’t be able to do the crafts I do with preschoolers. However, it went great!

She is such a ham! When I get out my camera she immediately starts making silly faces. :)

It was a pretty basic craft, I helped her use her fingers to make the trunk. Then four hand prints to make the leaves.  I sponged a little paint in the middle so it looked a more like a tree.  The frame is cut out of cardboard and we glued cut up yarn to it.

I helped her write the words, Dad and Harper and them let her scribble draw a nice picture on the other side of the tree, glued the frame on and we were done!

I think she was pretty pleased with it! :)

Look at the little cheese!

    • Yes she was very pleased with herself. And her dad hasn’t seen it yet. We painted a paper bag and wrapped it up in that and “hid” it in the closet :) Her mom can help her give it to her dad on Sunday :)

  4. I am transfixed on the girl instead of the craft, do you blame me. The craft is cute too though, lol!
