It is no secret that fruits and veggies are great for our health. But do you really know how important they are? Do you know all the great benefits they have for you just by eating the right amounts daily?
Today I am going to share with you some great tips on the benefits of fruits and veggies and how easy it is to incorporate them into your daily diet. (I am snacking on fresh strawberries as I write this post!)

With a higher intake of fruits and veggies, your diet will be much healthier. They are rich in vitamins and minerals which are key to a healthy lifestyle.
They are also rich in phytonutrients. These are important plant compounds that help to protect the plant’s vitality. Fruits and veggies also contain an abundance of antioxidants which help to protect our bodies from cellular damage.
They have a strong alkaline potential, which helps to balance our body’s PH levels. Finally, they are high in fiber.
So it really is a no-brainer that you need to have an adequate intake of yummy fruits and veggies.
How much should we eat?
The daily recommended serving of fruits and veggies is 8-12 servings. The easiest way to accomplish this is to include 2 servings with each meal.
