Welcome to a new week! I’m excited and a little nervous about what this week will hold.
For starters, I go back to work on Wednesday. Little man comes with me and I cannot wait to see “my other babies” but I’m also a little nervous about how it will go down. In the past, the 1 year old had about 75% of my attention and the 4 year old got the rest. My little man is used to 100% of my attention. I think there will be two upset little boys for awhile until we get into a routine again.
I am glad to be going back to work though. I’ve noticed that first borns tend to be self centered and headstrong (I’m a first born lol) until another child comes along. Hopefully having “ready made siblings” for my little man will help him to not be so self centered as he gets older.
The other thing going down this week is a clean eating challenge. For the most part we eat healthy and focus on whole foods. However we were in Oregon at Jason’s parent’s for a week and they eat way differently. And here’s the deal: I don’t buy junk food because if it’s around, I will eat it. And trust me, it’s around at the inlaws!
Plus during the flying traveling part there was a lot of fast food being ate. And what happens when one eats junk for a week? Addiction. I am craving sweets and salty foods big time. Best way to cure that is to cut them out completely for a bit and that’s what I’m doing.
This is all on Facebook, so if you are not a fan yet, why not become one and join the challenge? Each day I will start a new post and pin it to the top of my page. You are then invited to share encouragement and photos of your healthy foods in the comments section of that post!
On to the features!!!
The first featured post comes from From The Hearth. Her title Choosing to Find Your Spouse Attractive immediately caught my eye.
If you will remember the first part of Jason and I’s love story, I mention that I thought Jason dorky looking. Perhaps it was him finishing growing, or the hairstyle change, but I honestly think it was love that changed my view. Today I find him very attractive. 🙂
So give her post a read and see what you think!

Next is a post from Fruitful Families. There I read 6 Reasons Moms Loose Their Joy. As a new mom myself I found the post full of great information and encouragement. If you are struggling with lost joy why not check out her post?

Congrats on returning to work. Its wonderful that you can take your son with you. I totally get what you mean about the first born – my oldest demands a lot of attention and had a hard time adjusting to our second born when he arrived.
I bet you and your sweet baby will enjoy the other two children! They will probably be very curious about the newest member of the family! Have a great week! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
They have met him and the 4 year old at least is pretty excited about it. 🙂
I love the idea of your healthy eating challenge and I am “IN”!! After eating pasta at church because there wasn’t anything else and too much dessert, I feel awful. I like the idea that others are doing this too. It is great that you can take your son to work with you. I hope it all works out for you.
I hope so too 🙂
Thanks for featuring my post on finding your spouse attractive, Kendra. This topic has been on my heart for some time, so I’m glad I got to share it!
