Ok, who’s ready for a photo overload? So excited to finally share a few photos from our vacation in the Florida Keys! Want to know the best way to get to know your spouse a little better? Spend a couple days in the car together!
So, a vacation in the Florida Keys in January is great, you get to leave behind freezing cold weather and lounge in the sun, play in the sand and swim in the surf. Err water, the Keys don’t really have a surf. Anyway, while the vacation is great. Coming home is not. It’s not hardly been a week, true. But I have not been able to stay warm since we’ve gotten home!
Photos from our Vacation in the Florida Keys!
We spent time on the beaches.
Taking nature hikes, and enjoying all the different flora and fauna. I am rather annoyed at myself. I intended to photograph every single different palm tree I saw. And I totally forgot! Only getting photos of a few. 🙁
Sunsets and sunrises.
Snorkeling, sailing, para-sailing, and other fun stuff.
Down on Key West, these little bantys were all over the place, just running wild! We found this momma and chicks and they were so cute we had to take a couple photos.
Sigh…. I really wish we were still down there. We had never snorkeled before and we fell in love with it. We went out on two different snorkeling cruises and also snorkeled every beach we swam at! No photos of snorkeling really. I did wish I had an underwater camera, but somehow feel it wouldn’t have done the beauty justice.
The other thing we really enjoyed was sailing. In fact, we went out on the same ship three different times. But that’s a story for another day.
What was your favorite vacation? Have you ever had a vacation in the Florida Keys? I would love to hear about it!
Thank you for sharing your pictures and some of what you did while on vacation! Your pictures look professional, have you ever thought about going into photography?
Um, it takes a lot of editing to get my photos to look like this. And they really are not that great. Thanks for the complement though. I’m glad to know that the editing helped 🙂
great photos! You’re so pretty!!
So happy you loved the Keys! I’ve lived in Miami for a few years so I was so happy to see that you visited here and were able to enjoy some warm weather this winter. I love snorkeling too (we only went once) but was surprised how scared I was when a school of fish swam my way! Also, love the picture of you holding the big palm leaf–beautiful!
You are making me crave a day at the beach now. Looks so fun! I liked the photo where the sun is coming through the clouds. You did a good job. I have been to Florida, but to Disney, not the keys. Sailing is something I have an interest in, but have not tried. I have been in every other type of boat there is I think , except that kind 🙂 It seems like my favorite vacations always involved camping or cabins and various places in my own state. One favorite vacation memory is touring lighthouses and staying on a cabin on Lake Superior in MI where I picked up sea glass on the beach.
You guys look like you had a BLAST!!! What gorgeous pictures!!! So happy you had fun!!
Thanks Kelly, we did have a lot of fun down there!
Those pictures were all so beautiful!! I enjoyed them. No, I have never been to the Florida Keys but my two oldest children went together a few years ago after visiting their grandparents.
Thanks Judith, I’m sure your two really enjoyed it there. It’s cool that they could travel together like that 🙂
