Some time last year I had the privilege of “meeting” a wonderful author (Paula) and reviewing her book Casa de Naomi. You can read that review here. So, imagine how thrilled I was when she contacted me a month ago and asked if I would be willing to review a second book in the Casa de Naomi series!
In the last book, Naomi has kept hidden her true heritage. She is a Jew, and because of persecution in Spain (Spanish Inquisition) she feared to stay there and instead came to America. But even in America she was afraid and so told no-one who she really was.
She married a young catholic man who also knew nothing of her past. The end of book one, finds Naomi’s heritage being reveled and when her husband Chaz turns away in anger because she deceived him, Naomi leaves her home.
I honestly was not happy with how the first book ended, but hey, there was another one coming and that’s the book I’m here to tell you about today!
Casa de Naomi ~Book Two.
In book two, there are a couple things happening.
Naomi is now with a group of Jews who are not only openly living out their faith in God, but also speaking of the messiah, as though he has already came. In her confusion and fear she begins to seek out her God for herself. In finding her God, she is also finding her redeemer. Will this new-found faith and knowledge be enough for her to go back and seek Chaz’s forgiveness?
Chaz decides to leave and go tell his parents that he is planning to get out of hi marriage. His parents welcome their “Chaim” with open arms and when he tells them of his new bride’s deceit, he finds out they have deceived him too. In an effort to swallow this new information, Chaz flies down to spend some time with his uncle. Now that he is learning who he is, Chaz is also learning who his God is.
This book, like the first book in the Casa de Naomi series grabbed and held my attention from the first page to the last. While I am certainly much happier with how this book ended. I have a feeling that more good stuff is on the way in the next book. There were a few knots left untied and I have a feeling the next book is going to be very interesting!

As the author of the Casa de Naomi: House of Blessing six book saga, and the wife of Messianic missionary, pastor, preacher, teacher Ron Michelson, her faith journey, like his, has been amazing!
Since she began her writing journey with Messiah, she has realized that writing is like breathing to her, and is already researching two more series. When not speaking, teaching, or involved in ministry with her husband, she can be found worshiping at the Messianic Congregation Ben David in Santa Ana, California.
I am putting links to both books down below and I think you will really enjoy them!
The paperback books are $15 and the Kindle books are $8. Just in case you are wondering why I linked the books twice. 🙂
