Celery Powder; one of the many seasonings I use very regularly. Onion, celery, and garlic powder, are all natural flavor enhancers that I use all the time.
Since buying my dehydrator I have been having all sorts of fun with it. I was waiting until summer so I could start drying even more of our produce, when it occurred to me that I could dry some stuff right now!
I was out of celery powder and since we don’t grow celery in our garden anyway, why not buy some celery and make my own powder? It was really easy to do, all you need is celery, dehydrator and a chopper/grinder.

After reading your guest post I want to invest in a food dehydrator. It’s going on my wishlist. Thanks for tutorial on making this.
That is one of the best investments I have made to be honest. 🙂
I would highly recommend the Excalibur brand due to it’s versatility, and I use it all the time. Raising bread, and making yogurt are just a few of the other things I use it for!
Vegetable powders are so versatile. I’ve found that my tomato powder and mushroom powder to be as handy in the kitchen as garlic, onion and celery. Just wondering what other vegetable powders would be as useful!
I just finished researching the benefits of celery and I found this article. I am so excited to try making my own celery powder to take as a supplement and to use in my cooking. Thank you.
