We all know that gardening is an excellent way to save money, while still feeding your family high quality foods. But what do you grow when you have room for just a few plants?

If you wish to grow a garden and your lot is small, I feel your pain. We too have a small area for growing food, and it’s hard to decide which plants to grow.

Over the past couple of years we’ve discovered which plants to grow for the best return.

To learn which plants I’m referring to, check out my guest post at The Humbled Homemaker.

For starters, make sure you have at least a 5 gal or larger pot, a soilless potting mix and organic fertilizer are recommended as well. If your plants aren’t a dwarf variety, they may not do as well, but they shouldn’t do poorly either.
Finally they need a lot of sun and kept watered. I hope this helps.
I’ve not raised much in pots so am not a very good expert to ask in this case.
