Little Changes

On Monday, I hinted at a super exciting surprise. I even asked every one to guess at what it could be. Turns out I have some really smart readers! (but of course I already knew that!)

My surprise is the little changes that are going on around here.

Little changes like:

  • Feeling sick at times
  • Feeling hungry ALL the time
  • Clothes getting too tight
  • A hubby who’s so thrilled he could shout the news from the rooftop
  • Furniture shopping for changing table, rocking chair, crib and things like that
  • Suddenly LIKING the taste of pizza
  • Not liking chocolate anymore 🙁
  • Randomly running out of energy right when it’s needed

Growing a New Life!

Yup! The good lord decided that a little Stamy running around is just what hubby and I need. 🙂 Scary, exciting, freaking out, joining hubby on the rooftop 😉 and just about a million other emotions that I cannot even describe.

And do you know what? For someone who doesn’t exactly like changes, I’m pretty excited about these little changes.

Excited about the changing table that I saw, loved and bought before this baby was even a dream.

Little Changes

And of course, I’m even more excited about the cloth diaper stash that I’m working on building up at the moment. 🙂 You know though, I’ve been working on a diaper stash for a long time. Buying when they are on sale and cheap, or buying used.

Little changes in the form of cloth diapers

So, our news involves some little changes, both at home and likely here on the blog.

And for every0one that guessed, I went to random.org and Idara Wolf was selected as our winner! Congrats Idara, check your email so I can get your package on it way!  Thanks everyone for playing along with my guessing game!

Oh, and before I forget, our little one is due June 12th, so we will have a summer baby! (and add one more June b-day to my side of the family!)

YAYYYYYY!!! Rejoicing for you, Kendra!!! 😀

With my oldest daughter, I lost my sweet tooth for the first half of the pregnancy (and no one could believe it!) – don’t worry, you will probably soon return to your former chocolate-liking self 🙂 What a great reason not to like chocolate though!

Oh, I still have a sweet tooth, I just want all the junk sweets. Use to be I could satisfy that sweet tooth with a bit of chocolate though 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Oh – babies make a house even more like a home. The changes they bring are beautiful (and messy), fun and (noisy)….and oh so lovely! ( as I type one-handed…while an odd-smelling little bum sits on my lap…)

“Odd smelling little bum” 🙂 As a nanny of a 4 month old, I know exactly how that works! 🙂

I love babies and that’s just the truth of it! I don’t know about those parenting posts though… Sheesh I often feel like I have no business writing marriage posts, I mean we’ve been married all of what, 5 years?
      lol
Ah well, I write what I am given to write. It will certainly be interesting though.

Ya-hoo! Our family grows again, with 3 great-grandbabies for Grandma S. due this spring, right?!! So excited for you!!! It’s about TIME you announced it 🙂 🙂 (Even though someone up north had spilled the beans to me the other day….)

Hehe! We announced it to our parents the beginning of the month and then the grandparents a couple weeks later. So basically our friends and family around here already know. This was more of an online announcement. And spilling the beans was just fine 🙂 We told our parents that they could tell the aunts and uncles…

I’m so thrilled for you! I had no idea you were having a contest though. I’m a June birthday also 🙂 Just a dozen after your due date 😀 I didn’t suffer much morning sickness at all but I craved tacos and spaghetti a lot. Both my daughters love the food that I craved with them lol. Prayers for you and your family Kendra. I posted on your facebook comment earlier but I went to read other comments and it only shows 2 comments total and it appears mine is gone. I don’t know what happened so I wanted to extend my congratulations to you here 🙂

Yeah, it was a random guessing game I popped in with Monday’s post, so a lot of people did miss it.
And while I haven’t looked, it’s possible your comment on fb did show up. I shared it several times during the day so perhaps you commented on one post and read the comments on a different post… Who knows? 🙂

I’ve been enjoying tacos for sure, but haven’t had any crazy cravings (yet anyway)!

Oh Kendra, congratulations! I am so, SO happy for you! You have such a love for God, and you will be such a blessing to that baby, showing him or her the way to our Savior! And, as far as the sweet tooth, I have always had a HUGE sweet tooth. And I always said that if I ever got pregnant, I wouldn’t eat anything that was unhealthy for me, because my baby deserved my best. And you now what happened? Through my ENTIRE pregnancy, I lost all interest in junk food, except ice cream. Oh, the ice cream! I was going through a gallon every two days. And I’m SO not kidding, I quite literally went through a GALLON every two days.

You know, I was so determined to eat healthy and give my baby the best too. Did real well the first few few weeks and then morning sickness hit. 🙁 The past month & half its been eat what sounds good at the moment or I wont eat at all. 🙂

Nope, I’ve never liked pizza until just recently. I was the naughty child who at 8 years old said I wasn’t going in at Pizza Hut. And I didn’t. I sat out there in the van and pouted the whole time.
Now we know which I’m scared to have kids! If they are anything like I was….. 🙂
