Would you look at that!?! The living Proverbs 31 linky party has been held 100 times! For the first 40 parties it went under the name of Matrimonial Monday and then the name changed a bit. However, we’ve partied here 100x 🙂
We’re starting the party early and I hope you share it and invite others to join it!
I thought it would be fun to share some of my old Monday posts instead of writing a new one for this week. After all I see new blogs linked up here every week, so I know some of this is new stuff for ya!
~One of the first posts I wrote for this linkup was titled I Miss the Guy I Married. After just a couple years of marriage, it seemed like my husband had completely changed, and I was mad about it.
~The Excellent Wife post stemmed from a look at Proverbs 31 and feeling how strongly I failed at being that super woman. Yet a closer reading showed me that I was indeed an excellent wife.
~Jason and I love practical jokes, I shared a few of the pranks we have played on each other in Marshmallow Jokes and Marriage.
~Submission is a touchy subject in today’s age, yet I still believe it to be very important. After learning something about myself I wrote It Takes a Strong Woman To Submit.
~A post that still gets a lot of traffic is one on taking a marriage break. After seeing a couple circumstances of couples taking breaks and ending up with more trouble I wrote Should Married Couples Take Breaks?
~Is your husband the leader in your marriage, or do you feel like he passes all that responsibility to you? I know in certain areas it felt like Jason wouldn’t do what I thought he should do as a leader. What do You do When He Won’t Lead?
~Communication. It’s such a struggle for most couples. For Jason and I it seems like a lot of our communication is through arguing (he calls it debating), after a somewhat funny incident with my brothers, I and our “other halves” I wrote Couples Arguing.
~Are secrets in marriage a good thing? I found out the hard way that not telling my husband something really can be a bad thing. So I wrote I Didn’t Tell My Husband. However a couple weeks later I realized there is one time when it’s better not to tell your husband. Things You Shouldn’t Tell Your Other Half.
