Welcome back to Matrimonial Monday!
Perhaps you have noticed that we changed the link-up rules awhile back. It used to be only marriage related posts, and now we have it as any post that relates to being a Godly wife. Kelly and I were discussing it and we come to the conclusion that our link up could use a new name. One that reflects the theme of the link up. We also thought it would be fun to include our blog names. Read our suggestions below and tell us what you think in a comment!
- Exceptional Living as a Proverbs 31 Wife
- Exceptional Living {The Proverbs 31 Way}
- The Exceptional Wife
- Living Proverbs 31
- Living Exceptionally
If you have a different idea, let us know!
On to the features for Matrimonial Monday #40!
At Choose to Trust, I found some very interesting thoughts on masculinity. In our world (at least here in the US) it’s normal for the guy to sit back and just let dear wifey take over. It’s easier just to let her take the lead. Men are becoming soft, and sometimes as wives we may feel a bit frustrated by it. I talked about leading last week, where I thought he wasn’t leading, but he was. This post also references how to let him lead. It’s a great read and I would encourage you to go check it out for yourself!
Teshuva is a blog that I have been following since the beginning of time, Okay, Okay, maybe not the beginning of time, but basically since I’ve started blogging. I really relate to so many of her posts. This one in particular: The Last Word. When it comes to having a smart mouth, I qualify, and I definitely am good at getting the last word in. But when it comes to my marriage, is that really a good thing? Read her post here.
The featured buttons are at the bottom of this site if you want to grab one!
Did you know that I love reading your posts? I actually chose many of them to share via Twitter, Facebook and on the group Pinterest board! If you love Pinterest, you may wish to be added to the group. Just follow this board here: Proverbs 31 Wives and then leave me a comment with your Pinterest user-name and I will send you an invite. 🙂
I love both of those blogs and am so glad you’re highlighting them this week, Kendra. Also, as far as the renaming of the link up, I like both #3 and #4. I think simple is better and easier to remember/recognize. Thanks for hosting!
Thanks Beth! I had thought simple to be better as well 🙂
Hello,
I was jst thinking about the words ( Living and Growing) In becoming a Proverbs 31 Women, Because we are all called to be this kind of women, yet we may be inspiring to become one, and some of us have been one for ages 🙂
Love the new ideas!
Blessings, Roxy
Kendra,
While I know we should always strive to be exceptional, I think women feel so much pressure to be more , do more, always strive, push, excel. While we want to spur one another on to love and good works, we also need to breath grace, hope, and camaraderie. “Exceptional” in my mind comes with pressure, not encouragement. But this is just my opinion. For this reason, #4 gets my vote.
I like “Living Proverbs 31.” Simple and covers all aspects. Thanks for hosting & God bless!
Hmmmmm……they are all good choices. I like #1 and #2 the best! 😉 I’m glad *I* don’t have to decide, lol!
By the way, if you choose one of my posts to highlight again and there’s a photo courtesy link below the picture, I’d appreciate it if you’d copy that too. That way it gives credit back to to the photographer. If there’s no credit beneath you don’t have to worry about it! 😉
Thanks so much for hosting today.
#4 for me! Simple, to the point and without pressure.
If you’re like me (and from the “last word” confession you made, you are), you have revised your already-published list of choices for link-up names and have others you could have offered. 🙂
Hi Kendra,
good idea to change the name. I like #4.
Thanks for hosting.
: )
Thanks for recommending my blog!
If you are interested in a male blogger’s perspective, #5 is a title that would draw me in.
Thanks for your blog!
Thanks for your input!

I like #4 Living Proverbs 31. 🙂
