People are Stupid!
Ok to be fair, when I say people are stupid, I mean I am stupid. I pulled the dumbest stunts sometimes. Really, I begin to think that I have an evil (or maybe just dumb) twin in my head. I mean after all, I am really capable of such stupidity?
Apparently yes! Sadly, most of this happens when I am driving. To be honest, I would say I am a good driver, yet there are these times when I don’t know what happened.
Let’s see… Like that time when I was talking to the mom of a little girl I baby-sit and even though I wasn’t going there until the next day, I turned on her road.
Or, the time at 5am, I got on interstate to go to my care-giving job instead of going straight to the house where I am a nanny. (Not the same house as above story.)
Admittedly I am not always wide awake at 5am in the morning. In fact I don’t think I fully wake up, until about 8am. So at times, I may do dumb stuff. Where I am a caregiver, we can sleep between the hours of 10p and 6a, sleep doesn’t always happen though. When the alarm goes off at 6am I am supposed to clock out of sleep time and into awake time. Don’t ask how many times I’ve screwed that one up. 🙁
I’ve put my dress on and forgot to take off my pj bottoms before. Walking up to the house where I babysit and looking down to see pajama bottoms flopping is a little disconcerting to say the least!
I would love to be a morning person, I go to bed each night an think of all the stuff I need to do in the morning. When morning comes, all I can think is “one more hour of sleep, pleeeeeease”! In fact, come to think of it, nearly every stupid thing I do is accomplished in the morning. So I am a morning person, getting lots of dumb stuff done!
Before I completely drive you crazy with this (crazy) post, let me leave you with one to top it all off.
Morning again, 5:15am, headed to work. The light turns red, I stop and the cars cross. I look up, see a green light and go. About half way across the intersection, I realize that the green light I saw was not the traffic light. Said traffic light was still red! Totally freaked out, I completely cross so I wasn’t stuck in the “hitting zone” and promptly pull into a little auto shop parking lot.
At this point I think I must be going crazy, there was no other light that would’ve been green, so I never saw a green light. I have no idea what happened. But as I am sitting there trying not to panic, I see some more lights, the red and blue kind. Yup, big brother saw my goof!
Apparently he was sitting at that same intersection; only he was across from me. Folks, I never saw him either! He was pretty cool about it, and I think he realized I had nearly scared the crap out of myself, because he just laughed it off and gave me a warning. Still, I have to wonder about myself….
So please tell me I am not the only one who pull dumb stuff like that. Please tell me that people are stupid and not just Kendra.
