A review of Karen Arnpriester’s book, Raider’s Vendetta.
Just another ordinary day, can quickly turn into a nightmare. When 50 year old Charlie is required to go into the bank instead of using the ATM like she normally would, her entire world changes.
A bank robbery goes bad and Charlie finds herself a hostage. The “still small voice” is her guide, and even when she could have been released from hostage, she stays, sending another in her place.
Why was “Raider” so angry? What had happened in his youth that would spark such hatred and fury towards another? So often, we look upon the broken of this world and all we can see are their actions. What was Raider’s vendetta?
What most of you may not know is I read a lot. I’m not meaning just the books I review on my blog, I’m meaning 4-6 books a week. Some books are so-so, some are good, and some… Grip me to the edge of my seat, cause me to walk around stumbling into things because I am still reading, send my emotions on a roller-coaster ride and leave me amazed.
Raider’s Vendetta did just that. It was a reminder to listen to that “small voice”, just because something doesn’t make sense to me doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It means God is in control and if we let him, he will lead us on a journey we will never forget!
I really enjoyed reading Raider’s Vendetta and would recommend it for any-one who likes suspense, action and intense reading. This is not a bible study book at all, but the love and mercy of our amazing God simply shines though-out the entire story.
