I love spinach. Whether it’s cooked, raw or juiced, I really like it! Hubby prefers it raw and it salads, so he loved the spinach salad and dressing I served him last night. Needless to say, I really liked it as well!

Hubby’s grandma makes a spinach salad dressing that is really good, but I know it has a lot of stuff in it that I try to stay away from when I am cooking at home.

Using some inspiration from Pinterest, and a bit of imagination, here is the Spinach Salad and Dressing recipe that I came up with.

A spinach salad and dressing recipe. Delicious and healthy! #healthyrecipe #spinachsalad

Spinach Salad and Dressing recipe. ~Sweet and Tangy version:

Salad Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/3 olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger

Salad:

  • 8 Cups of spinach
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sliced onions
  • 3 hard boiled eggs sliced
  • 1/2 Parmesan cheese
  • 10 slices of bacon fried and crumbled

The salad dressing is easy to mix. Simply add all ingredients to a shaker bottle and shake hard. What doesn’t get used should be stored in the fridge.

For the salad: Wash spinach, boil and slice eggs, fry and crumble bacon. You can mix everything together if it will all be ate in one serving, or you can do like we did for the week, and that is replace the ingredients for our normal salad bar in a box with these ingredients.

Either way, this salad is amazing! I’m pretty sure my stomach just grumbled after I saw my photo up there!

If you like making your own salad dressings, you may enjoy the Tomato Basil Vinaigrette that I make.

I found this lovely recipe on the In and Out of the Kitchen link party and thought I’d stop by. I am currently doing a call out for no-bake recipes on my recipe link party, The Yuck Stops Here and would love it if you would bring this recipe and any of your other no-bake favorites to the party! The party starts tonight (Tuesday) at 8pm ET and can be found on my blog, Hot Momma’s Kitchen Chaos. I hope to see you there! HUGS
