Since yesterday’s topic was seasons of life, I thought today we should talk about the calendar seasons. Particularly spring.

The beauty and growth of Spring ~30 days of thankfulness with A Proverbs 31 Wife

Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food…

While the term spring as a season is not found in the bible, growth is. Spring is a time for new growth. The verse mentioned above takes place at the beginning of time.  From that point on, there has been a time for planting and growing.

Spring offers us many things. Warmer days, more sunshine, color…. oh the color! There is nothing like the soft green and purple of trees budding out in spring, and that’s just a hint at the wild variety that follows.

Spring is a time of new life.  On the farm there are plenty of new babies being born each day. The ground is being worked in preparation for the seeds that will be entrusted to it.

Spring is also the time we celebrate a different kind of new life.

On Easter we celebrate the eternal life that Christ has given us when he rose from the dead. I am so thankful for the gift of eternal life; to have a hope of life beyond the grave. No uncertainties about what happens once we die, but a living, breathing hope of living forever.

In our life, spring is the child’s time. It is the time of new life; young and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement. In the spring of our lives we show promise of what’s to come. Oh parent, do not take lightly this time of spring in your child’s life. It is a time for you to cultivate, plant and train. We want a bountiful harvest for the glory of God and now is the time to begin.

What do you love most about spring?
