Growing herb gardens are not hard, even for beginners. Many herbs have pretty flowers and gan be planted into the landscaping.

As you are planting your garden this spring you may want to consider growing herb gardens too. Consider the herbs you use in cooking and try planting them. Or maybe you use certain herbs for health reasons, try planting them. I don’t have one garden designated to herbs. Instead they are in many different places around our house.  When it comes to growing herb gardens, I plant herbs where they will grow well. Another thing to consider is that some […]

All natural baby shampoo recipe. Herbal infused water and castile soap make a wonderful natural shampoo or body wash. Recipe found here...

Awhile back I ordered a baby bath blend of herbs from the Bulk Herb Store. It smelled amazing and was intended that you make infusions and pour the infusions into the baby’s bath water. While it’s likely I will do that for older babies to help calm them, I also plan on using it to make an all natural baby shampoo. How to make your own bird suet feeders in a mug. *you will never believe how easy this is!

How about we make the day for our fine feathered friends with bird suet feeders in a mug! I love having bird feeders out in the winter, it’s always so much fun to watch them enjoying their dinner. And to be honest, I enjoy watching the squirrels as well. What I do not enjoy is how they make such a mess of the bird feeders the minute their ear of corn is empty (which is every other day). Bird suet […]

Use scrap papers, ribbons and stickers to create fun, one of a kind, personalized notebooks to use or give as gifts!

Each year I start my Christmas prepping in October/November. Why? Because I like to make a lot of my gifts. You will love these personalized notebooks I made last year! I took boring notebooks and my scrapbooking supplies, and created fun notebooks for my girl cousins.  It wasn’t too hard and in spite of the fact that I made over 12 of them,it didn’t take me that long to make. Personalized Notebooks: You will need: Notebook (avoid spiral bound) Scrapbooking […]

If somethng can go wrong, it surely will! Lessons in patience

I think the Lord has been giving me lessons in patience lately. And no, I didn’t pray for patience! Anyone who knows me, will be able to tell you that I am not patient by nature. I want things done and I want them done yesterday. Living in even a small remodel project puts me on edge and even over the edge at times…. Lessons in Patience #1: Things may not always go as planned. If you follow me on […]

Easy mounted photos you can make yourself!

Easy  Mounted Photos you can make yourself! Mounted photos make great decor, and as I discovered, they are very easy to make.   We have this lovely flowering bush in our back yard.  A couple weeks ago when my mom came up and we all went for a walk and took photos, she took a photo of my bush. Then she put a verse from the Song Of Solomon on it and printed it for me. So pretty and springy, […]
