God Doesn’t Love Me Anymore

March 13, 2016 by Kendra 13 Comments

Have you ever had a friend come to you completely broken and say "God doesn't love me anymore"? How do you answer that. how do you respond when that's the cry of your own heart?

“God doesn’t love me anymore”, came the broken voice over my phone. Once again hopes had been brutally dashed and this time it just seemed too hard to bear. My heart hurt so badly for her and in that moment, I wanted to agree. If God truly loved this child of his, he wouldn’t keep letting her down like this right? I mean this was the moment she had worked and labored towards for many years and now that moment […]

What is truth and who can be trusted. Men sell out for financial gain and politicians lie... Is there anyone that we can trust? Click through to read Truth!

What is Truth? Have you ever wondered What is Truth? Who do I believe? Whose word can I trust? Do you ever feel totally overwhelmed? The news, your friends, the internet, social media, all screaming “facts” at you and they don’t connect. I love reading conspiracy theories. As a kid I didn’t realize that’s what they really were called, I just enjoyed reading other people’s ideas of what could’ve happened. With the age of internet you can find conspiracy theories everywhere, […]

Pride Kept Me From Having Babies +Linkup

September 6, 2015 by Kendra 16 Comments

We were married 5 years before getting pregnant. This was by choice. Looking back I can see how pride kept me from having babies before we did. When we got married, I took my small savings and paid off Jason’s truck. You could say we started at square one in financial terms. Without government help there was no possible way to live on Jason’s income. He had a good job and he worked hard, his income paid our bills with nothing left […]

My Heart Hurts ~When “Christians” aren’t Christ-Like

January 16, 2015 by Kendra 4 Comments

Sometimes Christians are not very Christ-Like, and my heart hurts for those that are lost, and it seems like we just get in the way at times.

When I take a good look at humanity, my heart hurts. Especially the humanity that can show itself online. There is no filter, the thoughts of their hearts spew out in black and white for the whole world to see. Anger, rage, envy, jealousy, judgement, it’s all there. I will read an article that really speaks to my heart, maybe I will share it with others, maybe I won’t, but in the comments comes the reflection of humanity. An what […]

Doomed to a Messy House and Public Tantrums?

Disclaimer: A Proverbs 31 Wife uses Affiliate links and ads to support this site. Read full disclosure here.

January 11, 2015 by Kendra 14 Comments

As a mom, am I doomed to a messy house an dpublic tantrums? According to most of the parnenting stuff out there it sounds like I am, but here's the deal...

Parenting today. It’s hard. According to 75% of what I read online about, as a parent, I’m doomed to a messy house and public tantrums. Oh yes, I will also be fixing separate meals to cater to each of my children; and of course I will be cooking them, because if I try going out to eat at a restaurant, I can be sure the little brats, er, darlings will be running wild all over the place. We won’t get […]

God in the Small Things

The God we serve is an awesome God. He is strong and mighty, great and powerful. It’s easy to tilt one’s head back and look at the expanse of the night sky, or to gaze in awe at the mighty fountains and see God. But do you see God in the small things? It’s always easy to see God in the mighty, but God is in the small things too. There are many different sides to this God that we […]

Would I Stand Strong in Persecution?

Disclaimer: A Proverbs 31 Wife uses Affiliate links and ads to support this site. Read full disclosure here.

August 26, 2014 by Kendra 1 Comment

The question every Christian needs to ask themselves in light of the developements in Iraq. "Would I stand strong in persecution?"

The recent happenings in the middle east where Christians are fleeing for their lives and dying for the sake of Christ has me doing some pretty deep thinking.  I found myself wondering, “would I stand strong in persecution?” Do I have the type of deep seeded faith that would help me stand up for Christ? I had read of a man whom according to the reporter was forced to say “there is no god but Allah” in order to save […]

Discover Your Gifts and Talents

January 15, 2014 by Kendra 4 Comments

How to discover your hidden gifts and talents.

Have you ever been around a person who is really gifted with a certain talent? Do you ever wish you could discover your gifts and talents? I know I tend to be really envious when I see someone who is really graceful and never seems to have a clutzy moment. Or someone who has a beautiful voice and can sing like a bird, or play multiple instruments. I would wish that I had some great and wonderful talent, instead of […]

Have a Vision to Succeed

October 4, 2013 by Kendra 1 Comment

Have a vision to succeed!

Have a vision to succeed. Proverbs 29:18 states this: “Where there is no vision, the people perish… Let’s look at that a bit. What happens if there is no vision? The people perish. Obviously we are all going to “perish” at some point, but I believe what that verse is referring is the perishing of the mind. The going through your day-to-day duties without meaning. Working. Putting money in the bank. Taking money out of the bank to pay bills. […]

Into the Word Wednesday

July 10, 2012 by Kendra 22 Comments

Our God is strong. The psalmist says “His strength, is in the clouds”  Many time the Bible uses clouds or the sky to describe the strength of God.  More interestingly, the clouds were used to hide the glory of God. In the Old Testament, the clouds came down and sat on mount Sinai and hid the glory of God while he gave Moses the Law. When the cloud had descended upon the mountain, there was fire and smoke and lightening. […]
