Depending on how your family does your advent calendar. That last day, is either today or tomorrow. But does that really mean advent is over?
Here are my thoughts on advent.
Advent is a time of waiting and preparation. A time of looking forward to a time and place. Commonly it’s looking forward to Christmas. A time when we celebrate the first coming of Christ.
Christmas is now here. Tonight and tomorrow we celebrate the first coming of Christ. And the advent is over. Or is it?
As much as we celebrate the first coming of Christ, should we not look for the second one? Are we not in the advent, or in longing for his second coming? While the Christmas season is nearly over, the season of his return is still upon us. Are you waiting? Are you ready?
I will be away from the computer for awhile, I have some posts scheduled, but this time is meant to be spent with family and that’s what I will be doing. I wish all my readers a lovely Christmas and a very happy new years!
